These terms apply when you use Yap, the voice-first journaling app. By using the app you agree to them. They're deliberately short - if anything is unclear, ask us.
The service
Yap lets you record spoken entries and turns them into journal content: tasks, habits, moods, notes and facts about people you mention. Extraction is done by AI and won't always be perfect - the app lets you review and edit what it produces, and you're responsible for anything you rely on it for.
Your content
Everything you record and everything extracted from it is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no other rights to it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Yap to break the law, to violate other people's rights or to probe, overload or disrupt the service. Only record other people where you're legally allowed to.
Availability
Yap is provided as is. We work to keep it fast and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and may change or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for damages arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the past twelve months.
Ending things
You can stop using Yap and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, and we'll tell you why if we do.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is significant we'll announce it in the app before it takes effect.
